Updated computer applications package available

CBI-electric: low voltage, has released the latest version of its CBI², a suite of software tools developed to assist specifiers and designers in the art of low voltage cable and circuit breaker application.

This latest version has the following enhancements:

Functionality:

  • Country selections introduced for Australia and New Zealand
  • Increased UNDO functions to multiple levels and introduced REDO function
  • Reduce button added to accommodate large network sizes

User Interface:

  • Cable Wizard user interface changed for easier identification
  • Several user friendly warning messages introduced
  • Total voltage drop as well as actual voltage is displayed on busses
  • Symbol added to indicate motor load
  • Enabled R, W, B phase selections for single phase
  • Diagram Provided for Title and Project references in both screen and printed page
  • Provision for multi-page printing
  • Improved Bill of Material transfer for spreadsheet calculation

Calculation:

  • Cable selection added to Voltage Calculator
  • Added Power factor de-rating override provided for diversity at transformer level
  • Actual Motor load amperes used for cable sections

Databases:

  • Equipment databases updated to coincide with available product lists and Mitsubishi products introduced
  • Rationalised cable resistance and reactance values
  • Introduced both ambient temperature and soil temperature for cable ratings

HELP file:

  • Clarified relationship between Diversity Factor and Co-incidence factor
  • Details of line connection identification used in diagrams
  • User input responsibility for including motor loads on transformer page
